Delete my email

I'm planning on giving away my iPad but how can I delete my email address so the new owner of the iPad won't be getting notifications

Hi Rosie-if you go to iPad settings/mail, contacts, calendars/

Click your accounts. You should see a red box saying "Delete Account."
