Can't rest wallpaper for home screen

Hey I really hope that someone can help me out.....I can reset the lock screen picture but not the home screen one and I'm sick of looking at it, i even paid for a cool graphics wallpaper app but can't enjoy it yet. I have a 1st generation/jailbroken iPad. pls tell me what to do.....

G' day delsa, I know nothing about jail breaking but on my iPad3 I would go to Settings, Brightness and Wallpaper, tap on the photo you want and then tap on "Set "Both" at top RHS. I hope that helps.

I am going to make the assumption that (1) you have the Winterboard tweak and are running a theme (?).

A lot of times, theme designers make a wallpaper for their theme. If you don't want the wallpaper, go to the Winterboard settings (either via its icon or through your Settings app). Press on "Select "Themes" and scroll until you find the line "User Wallpaper." Tap that line to get a check mark, then tap and hold it so you can drag it above the theme you a running (Winterboard runs themes from the top down; the theme on top of another will take precedence).

Then, back out of Winterboard by pressing the upper left buttons until you get to the respring button. Press it, your iPad will respring and it should come back with the wallpaper you've selected.
