Calculator

I was setting up the vice on my milling machine and wondered, just out of interest, what the imperial measurement was. I usually use a third party Calculator on my iPad mini because it has some useful conversions on it. Today it was several decimal places out for some reason. So I had another look at the Apple offering and noticed it did conversions as well, who knew?!

PCalc is still my favorite, but the Apple one is pretty good, If they had it on the iPad from the beginning I would have probably never looked for a third party calculator..

I wish there were a small version as a notifications widget. On my old iPad I used TinyCalc, but it’s not been updated to run under a recent OS version.

I’ve been using PCalc as well. Compare this millimetre conversion with Apples display above. Apple for me from now on.

The other nice thing that I’ve just noticed, is that once you put the conversion in you want, it remembers and displays it without any more input. Even if you change from Basic to Scientific or back again.
