You're calculations are not entirely correct

Here I am, serving humanity once again.

2) Cottage cheese

Investment 2milk (520) + package (210) + production (320) = 1,050
Sold for 3980

Profit 3980 - 1050 = 2930

Per hour 2930 x 2 = 5860

10-hr shift

Cheese 17,400
Cottage cheese 58,600

If you have several dairies the difference is even more significant.

......

So.... Profit is not 18,800, it is 37,600. --------> it should be 58,600 (calculations above)

CHEESE vs COTTAGE CHEESE

Milk 260
Packaging 210

1) Cheese

Investment 2 milk (520) + production (310) = 830
Sold for 1,365

Profit 1365 - 830 = 435

Per hour 435 x 4 = 1,740

2) Cottage cheese

Investment 2milk (520) + package (210) + production (320) = 1,050
Sold for 1990

Profit 1990 - 1050 = 940

Per hour 940 x 2 = 1880

10-hr shift

Cheese 17,400
Cottage cheese 18,800

If you have several dairies the difference is even more significant.

CONCLUSION

Cottage cheese is more profitable. Also, producing cottage cheese is less stressful.
On a side note, I can't believe they fixed that double price glitch. What's wrong with these people?

EDIT

Profit is twice as much because I was Confused, they did not fix anything. I guess it was not a glitch after all.

So.... Profit is not 18,800, it is 37,600.

I agree 100% - the cottage cheese is a winner! The way you all calculate the profit, is in my humble opinion not quite right.
Let me clarify that one, by using the cheese example. Cheese is hardly worth the effort:
To produce a cheese, you need 2 milks - for some reason you calculate that as 260 - I disagree to that. You could actually sell them for 420 - why the cost for producing a cheese is: 2 milks at 420 = 840 + production costs at 310= 1.150. This you then sell for 1.365, giving you a profit of 215, for locking 1 regular truck and 3 milk trucks for 15 minutes.
1 milk costs 260 to produce, selling it at 420 gives a profit of 160 for locking 1 milk truck for 2 minutes.

The value add for making a cheese is simply not there.

Hope you see my point.

For some reason I thought they changed that. Early Alzheimer's.
I make cheese for lasagna and cheesecake only. Otherwise, no cheese. My daily routine includes cottage cheese, lasagna, fish rolls, apple cake, shirts, dough for strudel and tortilla, cookies, nightstands, amethyst, chlorine and wax, coal, varnish for the nightstands, and whatever the buses bring. I run buses only -- going for 75 avocado achievement. And of course I make tortillas when the contests are not getting in the way. Plus whatever assignment I get. Usually it is something awful like starch, dolls, bunnies, bed, motor oil, booklets etc. They know how to inflict maximum pain.
It would be nice to learn what other people make.

I try to limit to daily contest, cottage cheese, tortilla's and the things from the buses and taxis. At night I produce cacaobeans, meat, books because it takes 6 hours while I'm not playing anyway. It gives me a little bit of extra profit in the morning. i usually turn it on again when going to work, though last week I have taken my iPad to work on the contest during coffee and lunch breaks. Your not right ..

Cottage cheese 30 mins production so that's 2 every hour

2 x milk @ 520
1 x package @ 210
Production @ 320

Total = 1050 minus sale of cottage cheese ( 1990) = 940 x 2 ( 2 production per hour) = 1880

Cheese 15 mins production ( 4 per hour)
2 x milk @ 520
Production @ 320

Total 830 minus sale of cheese ( 1365) = 535 x 4 ( 4 production per hour) = 2140

Profit should be worked out one cost to produce. If it only cost you 260 to make milk that's all your spending. Not the 420 that its worth.

Again not correct :D The production costs for Cottage Cheese are for 2 items so the sales is nog 1990 but 3980!

I've taken away the cost of production which is 1050 from the cost of cottage cheese which is 1990 that leaves me 940 for one batch. Multiply that by 2 batches will be 1880.

One batch consists of 2 items, both selling at 1990. Hence, the sales should be 3980. Minus the 1050 costs makes a profit of 2930 for one batch. Per hour: 5840.

How does 1 batch give you 2 items?

When you produce Cottage Cheese you get 2 items. Check your Diary Factory. It says 2 below the picture of the CC. A batch is one production which delivers 2 items.

Sorry Kel, but you are very wrong. You have to look at the value, which is created at the factory you are looking at.
