Big Business - game discussion

It's not for me to answer...GI says to win an egg you must actively participate. I produced 11 sour creams. I was actively participating. It's not for us to read between their lines.

I was challenged at producing 11. It's not fair?? How fair is it that player mockba somehow has 49 gold eggs already? That player places in the top 3 nearly everyday normally hundreds of items apart from the next placing player.

There is obviously no level playing field here bc GI clearly allows for unfairness.

So no, I don't think it's preposterous to read "actively participating" as a single attempt in their contest of the day. They left A LOT of gray area with the requirements for that building. They set it up with the hopes most players would be buying credits to purchase this building. They come from a place of manipulation, and it's wrong. Had I not put money into the game already I would have left it.

I so agree with you that if I hadn't put money into the game I would have left it. When my $ run out I won't be buying more. I don't like being manipulated into buying $ just because they don't hold up their end and pass out the eggs to those who was active. Grrr

Exactly. It is just a game. People should not take it too seriously. I don't even understand why anyone would think I was "offended." For the record, I was not. I am an adult.

I am merely trying to present a logical argument. There is a competition. 300 participants "work hard" to win but there are only 100 winners. They COMPETE. Someone has to lose in order for the competition to make sense. If everyone wins, it is not a competition. It is not a challenge. It is a Santa Claus party where every child gets a candy for " participation."

Hey folks! Back from 5 days hiking on the Appalachian Trail. Up to 400 total miles hiked on the AT, only 1,800 more to go!

Looks like I missed out on the Easter event. Oh well.

Where abouts have you hiked? My old, old house used to be 250 feet from the trail. It wines itself through western mass.

Sugar, sorry, I missed your point about that Moskva player (yes, it is Moskva, aka Moscow, not Mockba). She probably bought a suitcase +cash. Plus, if you place in top 3 you get multiple eggs. Does that answer your question?
My theory was that some players might be related to GI staff and therefore have the unlimited supply of free credits. Can I prove it? No. I just assume that not many people would want to waste so much real money on a silly game. HOWEVER, let us give her the benefit of the doubt: she might be a daughter/wife of a Russian billionaire with lots of disposable income. So, she buys credits, builds whatever she wants and uses credits to speed up her production. There is no cheating in that.

There are way more than 300 players btw...I have over 500 friends.

It's not childish to become frustrated when you pay for something and get ripped off.

I bought a suitcase that gave credits and eggs. I have 4 eggs sitting as gifts which GI says do not count towards the Easter restaurant.

The issue at hand is why are active participants in the contest not getting eggs? If your opinion is that we all should assume that means placing, then that's your prerogative. I very much disagree and hope that the others who also feel the games vague descriptions (remember the rubies that were in the poem but not listed as part of the task for ET that were taken) are unfair when money is being used continue to write to GI and Apple so the game is clear and continues to be fun.

OMG, do I have to separate you two? Lol

I hope my prank did not cause all this grief. Consider that it is just another hardship of the game. We should just do the best we can do with our city. Someday this mock player ( pun intended ). Will surely tire of the game. Either they have deep pockets, there are many in this world who do, or they have no life and spend it playing the game.

For me to keep it in perspective, I envision this person as a child who is bed-ridden. No tangible life, and I would make way for this person to have whatever they need to live in their way. I have so much more I can do.

So I just play for the entertainment, and if the rules change or are vague, so be it. I'm smart and adaptive, and it's just that much more challenging.

Remember pain is weakness leaving your body, lol.

So buckle up and lets play. Even if it's only to show up each other here. I marvel looking at some of your cities, so neat, and so built up. For me that is a challenge, my brain works too fast and splits off in many directions that I can't keep order. I give you Sprawlville as evidence. Maybe some day, someone could help me unwind it.

Peace

Lol, Gab, my thoughts exactly. You are much more eloquent than I would ever hope to be.

I started from the southern end of the AT in GA 2 years ago and now almost done with the NC/TN section of the trail. Plan is to keep moving north, but since I have to take vacation and go out 5-7 days at a time, it's going to be a long time before I get up to Mass. The Virginia section is over 500 miles by itself!

Talk about unfairness.....I'm still stuck with this despite getting a ticket on March 26. If they finally give me a restoration point to go back to the exact moment this happened, I would lose everything I've gained since (yes, I continued playing albeit handicapped). However, I did not go into expanding land or buying buildings or upgrades because that will all be gone when Tech Support finally addresses my ticket.

How long does GI take to respond?

Thanks, that post took my whole lunch time, but squeezed in two more eclairs.

Maybe I shouldn't have pointed out the active participant thing but i knew it was correct and misleading information.

I usually get a response in like 2 days unless its a weekend, but my questions are trivia. With a case like yours I'm guessing they insult with game maker first then respond.

I was genuinely thinking that if you participated, you'd get an egg. With 7 eggs needed and only 4 days it seemed legit to me.
