Big Business - game discussion

S'ok. I am collecting them in advance. Gotta find 8 more silver beams, produce 10 granite and upgrade the thing before I need them! :)

Beware collecting in advance. I just fat fingered my cheesecake collection. I can get those back easily, but I am terrified of doing that to my precious avocado collection.

I was too, but at least you have the safety guard of it asking you ow many you want to sell!!

I'm glad I came along too.....big brother style, lol!

I think you mean Wimbledon which is in SW London, if you go to Wembley you'll be in NW London which would be a terrible mistake to make!

The Archangel

You are a joker, Gab! now I have to wade through hundreds of sixth grade (12 year olds) who fancy themselves clever as well. Thanks Arch for the correction! If we wound up in Wembly then we would be a sad group, indeed! I also have to think that this is one of the more tame groups that he has to look over. The only thing racy here is trying to place in a contest or finish the Eiffel Tower! Haha! Speaking of which, people upped their games with 17 to place yesterday! My numbers are accurate for the other contests, but they were doubled for the contest yesterday! Well, spring break is over... Now to deal with the "Did you hear about the big earthquake that knocked my house down?" pranks. They are cute. I play along.

Great day to all, and evening to others.

Feel free to post suggestions for our trip to UK and Ireland.

Good morning! Well just sent in a ticket on the wording of the Easter contest. And the glitch on the delay reset of the contest. Guess if we all start sending in tickets to them or apple then maybe someone will answer. I will wait to send apple to see if I need to buy eggs. Just missed placing by 3 which I could have had if the contest would have reset in time but not waiting up till after midnight to find out what it is.

Gab is back from the clutches of GI customer service agents. Don't believe his claims about joking, he is indoctrinated. This is going to be a long process of rehabilitation.

Come on, if all you need is "participation," how many items should you produce to qualify? Is one enough? How about two? Any other arbitrarily chosen number? Cut them some slack, they are not native English speakers.

Active participation is an attempt. It's not a technicality we are after. If PLACING in the top 100 is what is required that is a step above actively participating.

With the amount of cheating and unfair glitches they allow expecting distinction isn't crazy. Especially when you're paying money to play the game.

Language barrier isn't the problem, it's poor execution. They sure do take money quick enough before properly constructing the game.

I understand. Still, you did not answer my question. How many items should one produce to qualify? Where is the cut off point?
The notion of getting a prize for a mere "attempt" is preposterous because all challenge is eliminated. And it is unfair if someone who manufactured two-three items (and thinks he is actively participating) receives the same reward as a person who worked hard, built multiple plants and spent a lot of time producing stuff. Just like in real life.

Wow! Sorry to offended you, but I did make 14 sour creams..I feel that is active. If someone made 1 that is active. I also told them that if the previous contest would have reset properly I could have had more, but not sitting up till after midnight for them to get it reset. That has been agreed upon that is a glitch that needs fixed. I have spent $ on this game in the past but if GI can't get their game right for all languages then only release in Russia if that is where the problem is. Yes they do take your $ fast enough when you fat finger land without an option to cancel. That has happened too many times to me but I haven't wrote a complaint on that. My mistake for going too fast. All I want is if we need to place in the contest for the golden egg, then state that, or state what active in the contest is. I will not be spending any more $ on this game and the only reason I will continue playing is because I already spent $ on it.
Ok..I wll not be saying any more.

I've worked hard, built as many plants as I've possibly could and spent a lot of time producing, but I didn't place and didn't get an egg. Is that fair?

I don't like to compare games with real life. Two very different things that shouldn't be compared. My opinion.

How many items should release an egg? I don't know, but if GI wants to reward only the top 100, it really shouldn't be that difficult to write that 'placing' rewards an egg in stead of 'actively participating'.

I'm not fooling myself to believe I can win enough eggs to build the 3rd Easter building (I have placed 2 times since GI started this contest thing and I have tried HARD! MANY times!) I will not buy the eggs either, it's way too expensive. I've spent real money a couple of times, so it's not that I never use cash on the game.

So I'll just play it slow. Perhaps I'll stick with the game and perhaps not... Depends on how much fun it is. If it gets too difficult, I'll quit.

It's only a game :-)

Hm, I placed with the sour cream. I now have 2 eggs, so placing for the next 5 contests will just make me the 7 required.
back-up plan could be to spend city credits for a couple of eggs - expect to finish ET in 3 days, which should give me 25 credits.
but - guess the 4th building might be cruel.....

Jekstrom, if you can find a way for me to give you avocados, I will save the next ones for you.

Thanks for the offer

It's not for me to answer...GI says to win an egg you must actively participate. I produced 11 sour creams. I was actively participating. It's not for us to read between their lines.

I was challenged at producing 11. It's not fair?? How fair is it that player mockba somehow has 49 gold eggs already? That player places in the top 3 nearly everyday normally hundreds of items apart from the next placing player.

There is obviously no level playing field here bc GI clearly allows for unfairness.

So no, I don't think it's preposterous to read "actively participating" as a single attempt in their contest of the day. They left A LOT of gray area with the requirements for that building. They set it up with the hopes most players would be buying credits to purchase this building. They come from a place of manipulation, and it's wrong. Had I not put money into the game already I would have left it.

Hey folks! Back from 5 days hiking on the Appalachian Trail. Up to 400 total miles hiked on the AT, only 1,800 more to go!

Looks like I missed out on the Easter event. Oh well.
