Is there a quick way to switch back to a previous app.?

Here's an example....
On Safari surfing and click on a link that takes me directly to a YouTube video (iPad opens YouTube app).
I watch the video but now want to go back to where I came from.....

I have to hit home button then click on Safari again......
Is there an easier quicker way?

You can double click the home button and tap on the safari icon in the multi tasking bar that appears. This lets you switch between recently used apps without going to the home screen.
You can also do the four finger up swipe to reveal the multi tasking bar. You can swipe left of right, using four fingers, to go to the next or previous app among your recently opened apps.
