Auto-lock

I have auto-lock set for 10 minutes, but if I leave and come back after 10 minutes, the device is still on. Do I need to close it every time? Are there apps that cause it to stay on?

(My Nook did turn off automatically, even when open, except when there was a game open.)

Set it to something shorter, like 1 or 2 minutes and see if the auto lock is working

Is your iPad running anything? Certain functions, such as playing videos, will override the auto-lock function.
