Are you signing up for AT&T 3G service? I don't recall getting an AT&T password when I first signed up...OR did you forget your password and AT&T sent you a temporary password? I'm sorry I'm asking more questions than answering your single question.
Some coaching, if I may, when you are seeking assistance be as specific as you can possibly be so that people who want to help can figure out the solution without spending time figuring out the problem first.
