ChinaFile has today posted a really fascination map that lets you see just exactly where in the world your Apple device is made. The map was devised by the website based on Apple’s recently updated list of suppliers, which ChinaFile says is only the second time that Apple has ever made public the exact addresses of the key companies in its supply chain. The chart also shows just how many Apple suppliers are to be found in each specific country that is pin-pointed on the map, and, as you can see, of the 748 total countries, over 600 are in Asia, with 331 in mainland China, and 183 in Japan and South Korea. It’s also worth nothing that there are 41 suppliers in central Europe, and nearly 100 in America. For the purposes of the map, Apple’s “suppliers†are deemed to be those companies who either supply Apple with raw materials and components for their products, or who assemble the products. [/FONT]
