Altamail app help

I bought this app in the App Store for $4.99 I can not get the song to play when receiving email from someone do have the email sound on but will not play when receiving mail. Can you please help me with that? Thank you

Did you turn it on in Notifications in iPad Settings?

Yes.

Click on the iPad Settings icon.

Click on Notification Center

Click on Mail

Click on the email account

Make your selections.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I do have it on but still does not play sound when receiving new mail.

Well, let me know when you get it to work.

Other than checking your volume, doing a hard restart, etc. you might check the reviews for the app to see if anyone else has the same problem.

In Settings - Sounds, the sounds there have no influence on email sounds from another app than the built in Mail app.
Maybe you have to turn on sounds/notification in the app itself, somewhere in it's settings. I don't have AltaMail, so I can't tell you where you have to look. I just checked "Mailbox", another mail app, and I found something there in settings.
