I felt like a real grumpy old man today and sent off a rant to Kate at GI.
She said she hadn't heard from me recently regarding a previous query and as such, she was closing the unresolved ticket (usual GI response when they can't solve your problem).
My reply was rather sharp, but I added a list of other issues that we all have like the visiting friends problem, and phantom "time travelling" plus another new one to me where the game asks me to re-log into Facebook when I'm trying to claim a quest prize. It then gives an error message and sometimes crashes the game. Whether or not it crashes, it loses my hard earned prize so it's very frustrating. I've de-coupled Facebook for now so I may have lost my avatar.
I did ask what will happen when we go on holiday and the iPad automatically re-sets the time to the local hour.
I'll let you know if I get any sensible answers,

I've been playing hay day recently as an airport city substitute. It's fun,stress free,costs nothing to play and isn't broken! Gi take note!

I play paradise island, lot better than this game now. And believe it or not, we get 1 golden piaster every 5 days as daily reward. 1 golden piaster is = 1 greenie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear player, I understand how you feel. Changing date/time settings on your device is strictly not allowed as it lets you have unfair advantages. For the FB quest, please check you internet connections. It would be ok if you closed the game completely by clicking the red button of AC on the bottom list which appears when you make the icons dance and then double click the home button. I am done with Stonehenge so I think it may be time for me o update. I'm having a really hard time knowing that I won't be able to collect greens any more. Maybe just a few more....

GI replied with the same rubbish giving info only of the blocking. And what words!!! "It has been deviced by our developers to prevent players gaining unfair advantage by changing date/time. It is working perfectly and we are HAPPY TO PREVENT CHEATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
