I once met up with a few friends I'd met on Xbox live.

They only lived 30 miles away and I had been chatting with them over Xbox live for 3 years before we met.

Difference is I had there voice in my head from talking to them and I had sub consciously imagined how they would look.

After 3 years four of us met up and we all looked completely different to what we had imagined the other to look like.

The first time we met it felt very odd and we were unable to make much eye contact.

Since then we regularly meet up and were all good buddies.

It felt a bit like a blind date.
