Account Not In this Store

I just saw that I have three apps with pending updates.

Nothing special in that. So I opened the App Store and clicked "update all" still nothing special.

But this time, I got this error message:

Account Not In This Store
Your account is not valid for use in the Taiwan store. You must switch to the U.S. store before purchasing.

OK

Apparently I CAN get update notifications, but I can no longer get the updates. The message box gives me absolutely no hint about HOW I am supposed to switch to the U.S. store.

So now what can I do?

Hi Joschka,
This is the way you can switch to the US store to purchase.
... Tap the app "App Store" and then tap "Featured"
... Scroll down and tap on your ID. In the option box tap "Sign Out."
... You will then need to sign in again with your ID and password.
... Then you will then be given the option to choose your country to purchase.

Well, I did not get an option to choose my country. It jus directly signed me in.

However, the updates now are installing. Very strange indeed!

The tragic thing is the reply I got from Apple tech support.

The guy clearly did not read my question and doesn't appear to know how anything works anyway.
