What's the price if you buy it in Shenzhen?

Well I only realized today that the thing comes from China. Hypothetically, if I were in Shenzhen, China - how much would it cost there? Or I should say - How much less would it cost there? I've got a friend working a rotation in Shenzhen - who I could've shipped it to. Doesn't make any difference now - cause it's supposed to be on it's way to Miami.

i'd say the same, since you'll be buying it from an apple center as well. they follow the SRP. only in a different currency.

I'm sitting in Shenzhen writing this on my iPad and I can tell you that they are NOT available here.

Shanghai has an apple store, but the prices are about the same worldwide.

I figured as much! But the thing is - when I ordered it to be delivered to Miami - they charged me $30-40 in "Taxes". So if someone ordered it online, to be shipped right there in Shenzhen - I wonder what it would be! Just curious. I have a feeling it would come up to the same nonetheless.

Tax is usually charged at the rate of the billing address, has nothing to do with shipping.

I think lots of people in China go to Hong Kong to buy iPad.
