That's very strange. It was this person who completed my first attempt earlier. I don't recall the name as one of my neighbours and I certainly didn't invite him/her to contribute.
I wonder if my neighbours' neighbours are automatically allowed to join in. If you don't recognise Robyn, then perhaps Fred does?
I shouldn't complain if this player is contributing in such a positive manner, but it doesn't seem to be working as I would have expected.
I hope that you was able to contribute this time?
I will go back into the game now to check what's happened to this attempt.

I joined u and clicked items i had, absolutely no idea what i am doing. Hope didnt do something i shouldnt have. I dont get thus quest! I havent been able to collect many items, hardly anything drops for me. Its like airport all over again

I have a confession to make...It seems that Roby IS a neighbour of mine...he crept in under my radar. This player is at level 128 - incredible!
This doesn't answer the question of how Roby could contribute to the second attempt when I unticked the box which is intended to allow others to join.
Anyway, you managed to contribute, so thanks for that.
Fred has gone quiet so maybe he didn't get home in time.

I could spend a few crystals on another attempt when Fred returns.
Let me know if you want me to try again.

I got 83 snowflakes and a Dino thing as a reward for the success this time. It appears that I may have received 30 of the snowflakes for coming in first place as my points contribution was only 53.
I spent my snowflakes on surprise gifts (10 snowflakes each) which gave me stuff to contribute to the upgrade of the new year tree.
I now need lots more snowflakes.
This is a very demanding quest. I don't expect many players will achieve the final goals without spending lots of crystals.
I haven't seen any invites to any neighbours' Dino-snowman quests yet, so there is obviously going to be limited chance of getting more snowflakes. Maybe more players will make sufficient progress in the next couple of days to enable them to initiate Dino-snowmen quests.

Thanks anyway, and please advise whether I should try again (I expect Roby might help).

Anyone having any luck with the foundry quest on the Piedmont Lands? I need hoods from the Ghost Liar which is possible, but at 1000 food a go, expensive. Gauntlets from the foundry, yet the indicator points to the marble processing mill and best of all, aprons from the paint factory which is "not available on this island" GI have a strange sense of humour!

I got success after quite a lot of attempts but I had no problems with food because I have multiple pig farms. I usually have some crystals that I've bought previously when they've been on the triple offer. If all else fails, then I use some crystals to avoid getting totally frustrated. I avoid using them for speeding up upgrades of buildings as this can normally be done without real cost to me.
Stick with it - it happens in time like most Tribez things. At least there's no time limit in that quest.

Fred, thanks for that tip! I thought the opportunity of transfering the food has been removed permanently.

EDIT: it's impossible for me to tap those edge pixels...
