Sending ipad for repair

The mic on my ipad2 ( 6 mths old) doesn't work. After contacting apple, I'm sending it in for repair. My device is jailbroken. Should I remove the jailbreak or does it not matter? Thx in advance.

Unfortunately, I'm going to have to recommend you remove the jailbreak.

At the best, Apple will put the new iOS on it when they work on it. At the worst, they'll refuse to work on it and send it back (claiming a breach of warranty).

So yeah, restore it/upgrade it. You'll lose your jail break but at least it'll be repaired...

Have you tried rebooting the iPad. We've had several Members with 'broken' microphones that have been 'fixed' by simply a reboot.

Yes to no avail, but after restoring to ship, it started working. May have been an app causing the problem.
