Retrieving Data after System Restore?

Hello,

My son has an Ipad 2, he system restored it, and has now lost all data

Is there anything we can do to retrieve all the photos and videos?

I'd be most grateful for your suggestions and help.

Has he ever synced to either itunes or icloud, there should be a backup available to restore from.

He definitely didn't sync to ITunes, but I'm not sure about ICloud.

Since your son didn't back up his iPad with iTunes on his computer, if he didn't store his data in iCloud, then it's gone forever and can't be recovered.
