Nuance Communications announced today that it has released a new and updated version of its PaperPort Notes app for iPad, which for the first time will enable the user to create notes simply by speaking. The app’s new dictation capabilities are powered by Nuance’s Dragon voice recognition software, via the cloud-based Dragon Mobile software developers kit, which is behind a growing number of voice-enabled mobile and consumer apps. The new version of PaperPort Notes enables you to dictate notes, create to-do lists and even create “sticky†notes with the new Tap-and-Speak feature.

PaperPort Notes is a complete digital note-taking app for the iPad, which makes it easy for you to create handwritten, typed, and now dictated notes. The app supports accessing and saving documents from cloud services including Google Docs, Box.net, DropBox and PaperPort Anywhere. Users can also annotate and highlight documents in the app, combine pages of documents from the cloud and the web, and capture documents using the built-in camera on the iPad 2. The app saves your documents as PDFs, which makes it easy for you to share them with others.
