No Access to Apple ID

Hello,

If you have an IPAD and it's been reset but still tied to a Apple ID and Password but do not have access to that, is there anything that can be done or is the IPAD just a paper weight now?

We have an employee who left and we can't contact them anymore and they have their Apple ID on the IPAD.

If you can prove that you‘re the owner of the iPad (billing), Apple might be able to help. You‘ll have to visit the next Apple Store.
It‘s impossible to circumvent iCloud’s Activation Lock without damaging the iDevice. So if you can’t prove your ownership, Apple can’t help, and this iPad would be a paper weight.
