Hi, iPad forum community,
I am new to the Apple world, having been acclimated to PCs (Dell) through work, and am on my second Toshiba
laptop at home. I bought an iPad2 on October 29 before having major neck surgery a few days later because I
wanted to be able to access email and the Internet from a small (but not too small) device I could use while flat on
my back in bed. I love this thing and am on it at least four hours per day, but I would like to add some apps so I
can use it to simplify and organize my life better. Right now I am having trouble finding the right calendar/diary app. I am not interested in "journalling" (reporting my thoughts and feelings) or in a photo/travel diary. I do not need
The ability to draw or use my handwriting, as i see in Penultimate and in other apps I've found out there.
All I want is a (hopefully free) app that will allow me to go backwards or forwards in time, day by day, to
record things like my expenses, serial numbers and details about stuff I purchased that day, results from medical
appointments on that day, all with one simple font on simple "paper." I cannot find on iPad Forums any forum for
apps, now that I've joined the community and downloaded the app for it. Can anyone help me? Thanks so much!
I look forward to participating in this fine service.

Hi there and welcome.

The two apps that come to mind, neither of which are free, are SmartPad and Pocket Informant. They do basically the same thing so it would be up to you which UI you prefer. My personal choice, having bought both (neither are free but someone has to be paid to develop apps this good) my personal favourite is SmartPad. Hope that helps.

There is lots of good advice and info on here plus plenty of members all too willing to help with any problems.

Remember, search is your friend.......and please don't forget to read the rules http://www.ipadforums.net/forum-rules-help-info/2119-forum-rules-everybody-please-read.html

These are the hacking section rules for all you jail breakers (and would be jail breakers) http://www.ipadforums.net/ipad-hacking/2892-hacking-section-rules-please-read.html

We also have an app for this forum. The link to download the app is: Discussion Forum for iPad Users for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad on the iTunes App Store

If you have other Apple products or are interested in other Apple kit then why not join our sister forum too at http://www.appleforums.net/

Finally, if you still haven't had enough, how about a video explaining about our other forums (note:you may want to play this at half speed but hey, why shouldn't Phil be excited about our forums!)
