I just clicked on the UPS Tracking number and this is what is shows. CHEK LAP KOK, HK 04/02/2010 4:23 A.M. DEPARTURE SCAN SHENZHEN, CN 03/30/2010 6:44 A.M. ORIGIN SCAN CN 04/01/2010 4:23 P.M. It is in Hong Kong and is supposed to be in Billings, Montana on April 3rd ? What do you think?
Well Hong Kong is a day ahead, so hopefully, the 4/2/10 date is HK time (must be, since its still 4/1/10 here in the US). So they have about 36 hours to fly it over to Montana and deliver it to you. Now, HK is a big shipping port, and it only takes 11 hours flying time to get to the West Coast. I'd guess you still have a good chance. Now, I spoke to the Apple Store this afternoon, and they said they were getting a lot of iPads out. If it shipped by 3/31, it should be delivered in most parts of the USA. Good luck.
I just tracked my order: ANCHORAGE, AK, US 04/01/2010 8:25 A.M. DEPARTURE SCAN 04/01/2010 5:40 A.M. ARRIVAL SCAN CHEK LAP KOK, HK 04/01/2010 1:22 P.M. DEPARTURE SCAN SHENZHEN, CN 03/30/2010 11:07 P.M. ORIGIN SCAN CN 04/01/2010 4:38 P.M. BILLING INFORMATION RECEIVED Now it just needs to make it from Alaska to Austin in the next 36 hours
UPS has stated that these tracking results can NOT be considered accurate due to the special handling required by Apple. Odds are, it's about 5 or 10 miles from you at your local UPS depot right now.
Ipad is cheap because it's made in China That will be really simple the iPad 16G will cost 900USD because no one in foreign country include in US will work 60 hours by week for 400USD/Month ... like the chinese worker do. And no one will invest billions $ for set a factory with 27.000 worker, they prefer to invest in Wall-Street or in Madoff pocket
Mine also is in AK.. ANCHORAGE, AK, US 04/01/2010 9:13 P.M. ARRIVAL SCAN CHEK LAP KOK, HK 04/02/2010 4:23 A.M. DEPARTURE SCAN SHENZHEN, CN 03/30/2010 4:06 P.M. ORIGIN SCAN CN 04/02/2010 11:09 P.M. BILLING INFORMATION RECEIVED
