Ipad & Iphone messages??

Mods move this, if needed..

I have V.8.4(12h143) on my 5s & ipad.
I have started to use massaging to my kids, via voice text.
No problemo with send & receive in the USA,
But my daughter in the UK receives my message but I don't get her responce.

She thinks it's something to do with the icloud email address I send under.
When she sends to the my phone number it's OK.

Where should I see/change the out going "from" field??

Tried google foo, but there are to many references to older ios versions.

You should be able to set the incoming addresses and the outgoing address in Settings > Messages. You can have any number of incoming addresses selected, but only one outgoing address on a device.

My preference is to set up both my iPad and iPhone to use the phone number as the outgoing address.

If you don't see the iPhone's number on the iPad, try signing out, then back in, to Messages on both devices. Wait a bit in between. This will re-add any email and/or phone number's to your iMessage address choices in settings.

On the iPhone in Settings > Messages make sure you have the iPad selected under Text Message Forwarding. This will let your iPad receive SMS as well as iMessages. There may be a delay between seeing messages on the iPhone and iPad, since the SMS messages will have to make an extra side trip to the Apple Serves before appearing on the iPad.

now it's just the phone number, on both,,

Still have a problem.
Shannon(UK) can/does text Ireland, Italy, USA, & Oz, no problems,
I can msg the UK & she receives my msgs?/

Just now tried again, same..

I verified the msg log(s) on the phone and pad are in synk..

Looking back on my msg log,,
the last reply I received from Shannon was on June 3rd.
iso update released jun 25th
I probably waited 3-4 days before installing 12H143

Confused..

Problem solved,, But I have no idea why???

I happened to look at both my daughters and her husband's entry in the contacts and they were both blocked??

Spookie, Must be FEMA and the Jade Helm crowd??? :]
