iOS5 Photos - Events Labels

Just joined.

Curious that when I upgraded to iOS5 that under the Events tab the imported photos are organised by XXXIMPRT rather than date (as it was before). Nice they added a bit of rudimentary editing but some folders would be useful.

It's worse than that for me. I have not upgraded to iOS5 but installed a photos upgrade. All the dates on the events have been replaced by meaningless labels as you say, but not in the date order as before. Also the thumbnail on the top of each event is now a picture from another event completely, do it is not possible to identify what is in each file. What on earth is apple thinking about. Can anyone help please?

Now that I look more closely in Albums you can create new folders and move photos into them. For me they came up in the time order they were taken so it was relatively easy to grab a series and put them into a new folder. I'm not sure what Events is meant to do now but I haven't loaded up any new photos. I'll try that next.
