OK so next time I buy a new bike (rather unlikely as mine is not that old) I'm going to buy a "man's bike" with the lowered top bar and hope it will be strong enough.

I like the blue on your bike better. What I also like is yours has splash guards. Can't understand why bikes of today have done away with them. Bare wheels like that seem very impractical in wet weather.

Blue is my favorite colour, and when I purchased mine, it was "love at first sight".
It seems that we have more choice than you. I definitely wanted a bike with splash guards, it would have been possible to get one without those as well.

MV Illmitz (musical society) celebrates it's 25th anniversary. Part of this celebration today was a demonstration march from various starting points, and a marching competition. 5 marching bands were participating, one of them was Apetlon (we). Here are a few images from the competition, taken with my iPhone:

No. I'm one of the musicians, and I'm not allowed to take pictures during our competition. I have to play and march, or else my marching band would lose points.
When you take a close look, you'll find some people walking or standing around those bands. They were the jury.

I started learning this instrument when I was 35, I think, as part of a project, and joined the marching band two years later.
