Gonna build something with my pennies, ideas?

I've got several hundreds of pennies, and instead of cashing them in for a few bucks, I've decided to make something cool out of them. It would be truly awesome if I could make something for my iPad, such as a stand or something, but the idea of it getting scratched just scares me. So anyone got any ideas of what to make? Also how would I hold them together? I was thinking super glue, but then though that the weight might be too much for it. What are talks thoughts?

You could set them in a mould using an acrylic plastic

You would need an appropriate mould - in the shape of a stand, perhaps.

I like the idea, I suppose a clear rubberised solution could be used for the modelling and also an anti scratch surface.....the iPad penny podium....It sounds great, don't forget to up the pictures when it's done!!
