Quick charge you IPad, IPhone and IPod from any computer with the NEW USB Driver from ASUS. I've installed it on five computers and it works great! When installed the USB port will detect if the IPad, IPhone or IPod is connected and provide the power it needs to charge like magic. Get it here: ASUS Ai Charger - Quick charge your iPod, iPhone and even iPad!
Will try this in the morning. If this works, I nominate you for post of the year... Have an ASUS mobo so no reason to think it won't. Awesome..
This i just for ASUS motherboards. Other manufactures are also putting out updates to allow the USB ports to put out the correct power. Check your Motherboard manufacturers website for updates.
Any idea if it will work with an Asus netbook? I have a fairly new eee1005ha (atom 280cpu). Thanks for any info!
More information in this thread from the news section: http://www.ipadforums.net/apple-ipa...ers-updating-drivers-allow-ipad-charging.html And this thread: http://www.ipadforums.net/ipad-general-discussions/4278-usb-upgrade-anyone-tried.html I've done it and it works. It does not match the wall charger charge-speed but increases charging dramatically. It was released by the manufacturers for Asus, MSI and Gigabyte. Anyone else is probably at your-own-risk type of thing.
