Dream Heights special quest problem

I always have a special quest saying that i should use the elevator xxx times. I already skipped it once for bucks but it came back No matter what i do, the use of the elevator doesn't count. Maybe i am just to dumb to understand what i should do?
I am playing the german iPad version.

Any help strongly appreciated.

I think you have to use the automatic elevator that costs hearts. Big waste of hearts in my opinion.
