Discover wikipedia app problem

I've just downloaded the "discover" app from Wikipedia. However whenever I open it it says that my iPad is not connected to the Internet or the wiki servers are not responding. My iPad is connected via wi fi and everything else works fine. If I search for something it does load the text but no images. Ive tried downloading the app again but no joy. Does anyone know how I can sort this? Thanks.
