Delay issues

I have an iPad 2, purchased 3 years ago. My iOS is up to date. I have a huge delay when typing, sometimes up to 10 seconds before the letters appear on the screen. Also have issues with constant crashing. Any advice please?

If you haven't done this already:
Reset your iPad: press and hold Home and Power button until the Apple logo appears, release both and let the iPad power up.

Or go to Settings - General - Reset - Reset all Settings. This will set your iPad to it's default settings, so you'll have to check all settings again afterwards to enable or disable what you prefer.

It might also help to disable Documents & Data in Settings - iCloud.

Unfortunately, I did all you suggested and it hasn't made any difference to my problems :-(

The last option that comes to mind would be to restore it using iTunes: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414

1 back up device using iTunes
2 restore
3 restore backup to get all data back
