Accessing iTunes Question

I do not have Enough space on my iPad 3 to Download Something from iTunes to my iPad 3 . So I had to go Through the iTunes that is On my computer.to buy and Download to my computer. does anyone know of a app That will let you access your iTunes on your Computer? So you can Watch it on your iPad 3 ? Thank you for any help on this.

I use it with my Apple TV, but haven't used it to view things on my ipad...only my 32 inch TV! When I have iTunes open with home sharing on, the remote app allows me to view podcasts, listen to my music etc.

Look at the description of this app and see if it fits your needs.

What you need is VLC Streamer on the iPad and VLC Streamer Helper on the computer. This enables you to play any video resident on your computer, so long as you are connected to the same wifi.

Can't remember if it plays videos that are ONLY on iTunes, such as free digital copies from BluRay disks, but Home Sharing should do that.

I wasn't sure if it worked the way that the OP wanted...based on the app description it sounded like it could.

Yes, I do have the Apple TV and the remote app has been a god send with being able to type in email and passwords for Netflix, Hulu etc. It was too difficult trying to go one letter at a time on the TV especially when your Apple ID is long.

I LOVE Remote. Since iTunes 11 was released it works a treat, even on my hideous PC, and the best feature is that I can control the PC from either my iPad or my iPhone, whichever falls to hand.

I'll have a peek at AppleTV later this year, so be prepared to be bombarded with questions. I want to get a Mac first though, since I'm going to build my home entertainment system around that. No prizes for guessing who is going to be hit with my stupid questions when THAT happens. Mr Network Attached Storage himself, I hope Gabriel is ready for this.

Oh, no. I feel the money draining out of the bank account already. AirPlay speakers, eh? Have to have a look in the Bose store. There's just something about Bose that makes them the perfect companion to Apple equipment.

Are both devices connected to the same network?

Here's a few things to try. Close down the app on the iPad, including the background. Reboot iPad. Restart VLC Streamer. On VLC streamer helper, select option to start on computer boot up. Reboot computer and router. Give that a whirl and see what happens.

I've found that rebooting the router, even if it appears to be generally working well, can solve some obscure problems. It's now my first suspect if there are network issues.

If you have videos on your computer in iTunes set up iTunes to share across your wifi then you can open the video app that comes on your iPad and select shared -> what ever your library is named. Now you can see your videos and podcasts stored on your computer and play them on the iPad by streaming. You can do the same thing with music.

Turn Home Sharing off and back on again. That should sort it out. You'll need to re-enter your AppleID.

Are you using iTunes 11? I always found Home Sharing flaky prior to the new version.

It's iTunes 11.0.1.12
