youtube sound gone

ive lost sound on youtube. Settings says sound is on high. Should the side button on ipad be on locked or unlocked padlock? but changing that makes no difference.

See if a hard reset resolves the issue. Press and hold both the power and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo, then release both.
