I finally did it! Saved up for a few months and got the 16gb Wifi model.anyway, nice to meet you all. Any suggestions for apps for designers/musicians?
Hello and welcome to iPF! Have a good time here.
I don't use apps related to designing and music(except those used to listen to music
). If you could tell me that for what purpose you want to use the apps - like for composing music and saving it, or listening to music, I would try my best to find the best apps I can from the app store. Once again, Welcome to iPF! Enjoy!
Thanks! I was just curious if anyone could recommend any apps from personal experience. I'm pretty well versed in the names in the top-ten lists, but personal recommendations provide a great starting point. If you haven't actually used any apps, then there's no need to scour the App Store for suggestions, although I do appreciate the offer!

Might be a good idea to look at the iPad for Musicians Forum and see what others are using there.
The IPad Forum is a community of members from all walks of life and from all over the world coming together to share our experiences and to help each other learn about this wonderful piece of technology the Ipad. There is a wealth of information already here in the many threads we have so doing some searches will answer most of the questions you have. If then you cannot find the answer you are seeking then by all means post your question. There are many friendly and informed members here only too willing to help you.

I am having a problem with email (hotmail). I have lagged special email occasionally however as of Friday everything in my inbox is flagged. I have gone to the tab and selected untag but it did not work. As I have lots of email it has gone back forever and is now causing too much data on my iPad. Can you help me? Any suggestions are welcome
Hi and welcome to the Forum!
When an app behaves strangely it is best to close it completely and then relaunch it. From the home screen do the four finger swipe up or double press the home button to reveal your multi task bar. These are all the apps that you have opened at one time. If you have updated to IOS7 - just swipe up on the image above the app icon to close it. If on an earlier OS - Long press the app until it jiggles and a red minus sign will appear above it. Press the minus sign, this will close the app, not delete it, now press the home button to return to your screen. It's also a good idea to close all these apps, as it helps the iPad run smoothly.....now see if it's working, if not the next step is a restart, if still no joy, try a reset of your iPad and let us know how you go.
Restart - Press and hold the power off button, the one at the top right. You will see a slide appear to power off, slide this and the screen will go dark and a Whirly will appear. When the Whirly disappears your iPad is now off. Press the power button again until the Apple logo appears, this will take a few seconds and your iPad will restart. You should restart your iPad occasionally also as it will keep it running well. Now see if it is operating.
Reset - Hold the power off button and the home button simultaneously, keep holding them in and you may see the power off slide appear and disappear, wait until you see the Apple logo appear before releasing the buttons. It will take a little longer for your iPad to start.

While I was checking today's issue of AppsGoneFree, I saw an app for musicians, you might consider downloading it (Its free for today, no one knows when its going to be paid again, it can be anytime. ) the name of the app is - DUBSTEP / Loops / Keyboard / Drums. I'm sorry if you didn't like this app, but neither am i a musician, nor have i used this app. Hope you like it.
