Wifi syas "Not Connected" but I can acces the internet and the bars are full

Hello,
I just got the Ipad Wi-Fi. Jailbreak with Greenspoison and I loaded Cydia.
Everything works fine.
Just wanted to get an explanation on this.
when I go to Settings >> Wifi it says not connected.
However the Wifi bars are full and the internet access works fine.
Is this normal?!
