Just got an update that my apple TV finally shipped and its got a scheduled delivery date for today by 3 PM. It also shows no future delivery request like the iPad has.


Yeah I got the same update, guess the ATV will arrive first, at least I'll have something to distract me for a while.

Mine's now "in transit" from PA with an Overnight FedEx delivery scheduled for Friday before 4:30 PM. I think there'll be a lot of very happy new iPad owners on Friday.

Mine was posted today from uk so it's already here and not coming from china. Says out for delivery , but I think it's for delivery to local courier and the estimate arrival to me is tomorrow. If its comes tomorrow I will be so happy cos was not expecting it to be posted till 16th to 19th with a delivery time of 3 to 5 days

today my iPads status updated 3 times. I don't understand why the current update says Shipment information Sent to FedEx, whats that supposed to mean? Doesn't that normally happen before the package is picked up?

It's fun to share the excitement with like-minded people!! My tracking doesn't show the trek from China ... it starts with "Picked up" in Middletown, PA. It is now at the Indianapolis hub and hopefully will be on its way here to the East Coast soon. It was shipped via FedEx with "Indirect Signature". This means I can pre-sign by printing Apple's release form. If for some reason you are worried about missing the delivery, be sure and use one of those forms. You don't have to sign in person. Just tape the form on your door. Another option for FedEx if you won't be home, is to have it re-routed to your neighborhood FedEx Kinko's office. They have lengthy hours and are usually conveniently located as contrasted to the FedEx office, which is often in a remote location. Just call FedEx today though so they can make the change and you won't have your package delayed.

I ordered a couple covers for the new iPad from Marware. They have one choice that is like the Apple cover but it has a "hard sell" back portion that I think will give it more protection. Also, the front cover and back cover are connected so it won't have the issue of falling off that I heard of on the one from Apple. It has the same "wake up" feature that the Apple one has. I also got one that offers more protection but is heavier. I have that one for my iPad now and I really like the way it functions. The cover doesn't attract dirt at all and the lining doesn't leave lines on the screen. They shipped so fast. I have had great service from the Marware site.

I have the original iPad so I am sooooo looking forward to all the upgrades of the new one! Just one more day!!!!!!!
