I know you guys are interested in facts and figures, so I started a new thread. "On this day in history" is just what you would think, and today was a special day for some of us. In 1492, Columbus set sail on the 3rd August and discovered our homeland.

The Columbus anniversary triggered a flashback.

In the 60s "Lost In Space" show, Will Robinson and Dr. Smith were arguing over the year in which Columbus set sail to America.

Will - "In 1492, Columbus sailed the ocean blue."

Dr. Smith - "In 1493, Columbus sailed the deep blue sea."

It is frightening and somewhat sad that I remember that.

I did. Hokey of course, but not all that bad. The mix of supposedly futuristic equipment and things like 6v flashlights and the never improved laundry basket are a hoot. Added the rest of season 1 to the queue. What can I say, I loved it.

Most contrived part, Don lost during a storm at sea. The vehicle is transparent 360 degrees, but apparently they can't see him hanging off the side.

Always liked the Jupiter 2. Exteriors and interiors were OK for the day.

Dr. Smith was my favourite character. Such a weasel.

What was there before demolition?

One half of the outdoor parking structure. This is a 2 year project causing considerable angst for mall tenants. There's been a noticeable reduction in mall traffic and sales are down.
