My ipad2 3G/GSM is currently jailbroken at 4.3.3. I'm quite happy where things are at, but would love to be JB'd at 5.0.1.
Now, my what if-
I will be traveling a week from now, for about 10 days. What if the 5.0.1 JB is released during that time, and Apple quickly releases 5.1. What can I do to protect myself from missing the window to get to 5.0.1? I will have access to a pc during this time, but not my home pc which is where my ipad2 was set up on, and where my backups are stored. iTunes confuses the hell out of me, and I don't know the implications of trying to upgrade the IOS on a pc that isn't mine.
Sorry for asking hypothetical questions, but I'd hate for Murphy to pay me a visit while I'm on vacation.
