What's new

What are you guys doing right NOW??? ;)

And I thought I'm one of few who don't like to watch movies like this.

I had enough nightmares as a child. They kind of turned me off the idea of being scared for fun. Looking back they were pretty high quality nightmares. Color or black&white as the mood dictated, cinematic, and sometimes composed of various scene cuts, building into a frozen-in-a-cold-sweat inducing climax. ;)

Of course there was the normal monster under the bed or in the closet stuff; only the bed monster was flesh dissolving slime and the closet had vampires.

I shared a room with my sister when I was a child, so there was no reason to be afraid. (We both would have fighted against the monsters together. :D) I rarely was watching movies like "Christine" as a child.

Oops! Daleks!! Dr Who. Don't you just love auto correct. I'm not sure why at a young age I was watching that but it was probably not as graphic as all that but at my tender age too much for me

I understand completely. Most of my nightmares started as not all that scary movie and TV shows. Well, except for the slime monster. That was book. ;)

Enjoying my holiday in Hong Kong

Looking at road maps. I'm going on a road trip from the coast to southern alta and am looking for a different route that will keep me in the 15-20 C zone for as long as possible.I've down the Trans Canada so often and am going to switch things up a bit.

My scary moment according to my mum, was a woman giving birth!!! I hid behind the couch!
That's not a nice sight, especially when you're a child and don't understand what's going on.

It's horrifying, even if you're older.
My daughter had to watch a woman giving birth to a child when she was 17 or 18, I think. (At school.) Her first reaction: She told me she'd never get pregnant. (She changed her mind later.)
