Snap! Marking books is the bane of my life. Unfortunately, unlike teachers, we don't don't get paid for that and planning etc... Our hours are only for when we are teaching and any meetings. Wish some of my colleagues would remember that fact.

When you're doing a teacher's work, you should get paid accordingly. It seems unfair to me that you have to mark books and plan lessons ... for free.

I don't like marking books, but it has to be done.

My daughter went to her daughter's freshman orientation day and was so pleased to have the chance to meet the teacher and tour the new school. Your efforts beyond the school day are very much appreciated! Thank you! (My granddaughter's school is in WI, but I know parents everywhere are pleased with extra efforts.)
