DH started making the beignets with apple chunks mixed in maybe eight times ago, and he's been tinkering with how to get the apple ratio and texture right. He's getting better and better at it. He says he mixes the apple chunks with other ingredients before adding water, to get it to coat properly, and has to make sure the apple chunks aren't too big, because you want to flatten the dough thinly enough to get the beignets to cook through properly.

Bought a SuperDrive for my MBP today, and ripped a few CDs to check it out. FINALLY, I have a complete copy of Misplaced Childhood. The first time I ripped it something went awry and a track was missing. Worked this time though.

I have the SuperDrive also, I got it cheap in Amazon Warehouse......I've still got all the other drives that I bought whilst I was pondering getting it......I now have a wifi Blu Ray drive as well which I've yet to set up.

I have to hand it to the guys in the Apple Store. They actually suggested I could buy a drive cheaper that would run on the Mac and Windows. I appreciated the honesty, but that SuperDrive is the perfect complement to the new MBP. $79, but I figure its worth it.

Is that a BD data drive? Never seen one. I have an LG BD player with wifi. Streams from my computers to the TV and does Netflix.

I paid £22 for my SuperDrive!!

I can't remember about the Blu Ray, it's a tiny little thing, not much bigger than a DVD in plan view.....I buy this stuff then it sits around for ages while I conjure up the enthusiasm to put it to work. I'm also looking to get a wifi DVD drive, DVDCatalyst did a guide on how to get it to work with the iPad......which is just too cool for school!
