No fireplace here, just an ordinary central heating. Warm enough for me.

We have a coal/wood back burner which heats up the radiators. Works very well. Our house is early 30's ex-council house. It has Art Deco touches but a lot was taken out before we bought it. We bumped into someone who lived there in the early years. There are no driveways, just a huge car park opposite. It's really weird. 4 stone semis our side of the road and 6 brick ones opposite. On the outskirts of a village.

My house is as old as my daughter, 25 this year. The fields surrounding our village are nearby.

Yes, we are surrounded by fields. 20 acres next to our garden is available for our horses. Our neighbour owns two horses and we share a field. The owner has three as well. The other fields are cows, more horses, free range chickens, and crops. Typical farming land. Love it. My school is in local town just 3 miles away. Traffic jam? No such thing.
