I just read this and am excited about the possibilities, though it does seem odd that I might be able to see shows first even though I'm in the U.S. and streaming via VPN, versus a Brit in the UK who might see shows later on a TV set:

Wow Leelai, glad you didn't get injured in the explosion, wonder why the glass shattered like that, looks like car wind screen or windows after an accident, that's what your floor looks like on the picture

Luckily I wasn't in front of it when it went as its taken some small chunks out of my tiles. What a mess!

I am glad you were not hurt leelai. Tempered glass is strange material, you can hit it with a hammer and it will just bounce back but tap it with something sharp and it will shatter. There was a number of cases in Toronto where high rise condominiums had tempered glass barriers on their balconies. The glass panels were shattering without warning and showering the streets below with glass. It was later discovered that the glass may have had impurities in it.

It does look like how a windscreen breaks, but this glass was cutting us......and there was a lot of white dust of some sort in the glass.

it scared the living day lights out of me.....I'm a little worried about the remaining glass now. :O
FWIW - even with a blown out door that's still a fine looking shower. I'd have a scandalously high water bill if it was me.

And the cosmetics in that shower, wow, not that I really know much about those things. Reminds me of my wife's supermarket size arrangements in our bedroom en suite. Leelai--my goodness! What a site to see of your shower door! Thank goodness you are unhurt and the nobody else/cats were around either. I think I'd be a little nervous, too about the remaining panes.
Glad you are ok, but what a headache to clean up!
