Could be, but for now, diesel and coffee will have to do. Clairmont AB. 463km to go.

Depending on where you stop, it may be hard to distinguish one fuel from the other. ;)

I see you've tasted Husky coffee.

Presently planning next week's work.

Yes. :) But I love the stadium size Canadian flag that flutters in front of every Husky station in Canada.

As for your trip planner - that looks like a tough 1130 kliks.

It does look tough, but with beautiful scenery.

I'm guessing the Husky Stations are similar to our transport caves, or "greasy spoons". :D

The greasy spoons live up to their names with a full English, swimming in fat, and a large white mug of steaming tea :D

I was being a bit unfair about the coffee. The Husky's are in general very clean and the food is of reasonable quality. There are a couple that I would think twice about using but most are OK, in the west at least.

I remember the "greasy spoons". I'm surprised they are still around since people have become more health conscious.

I'll post some pictures of the area when I get back. There is no Internet up there (or electricity), although this may have changed as there was an electrification project going on when I was up there in the Spring.

I'll be about 25 miles from Alaska during the trip. It is beautiful country, very quiet and peaceful and largely unspoilt. Bears and other wildlife are abundant.

You are right, the greasy spoons are a vanishing breed. However some exist in poor areas. That is until the local authority health inspectors visit and wield their powers of " put this right within so many weeks, otherwise we will close you ".

I'm looking forward to the photos. Have a safe journey, Kevin.

Enjoying the first coffee of the day.
The new Apple Store in my town opens in 2 hours and 31 minutes. Gotta suit up!

The next iOS device update should include the ability to direct connect to a telecommunications satellite. It'll make LTE look look soup cans and string. :)
