Wacom creative stylus not connecting

I just purchased a Wacom creative stylus to work with my ipad air and for some reason it's not showing up in my Bluetooth menu. The basic functions are working but I don't get those special features like palm recognition (cancellation) and pressure sensitivity, which is the main reason I shelled out so much money for it I the first place. I'm trying to surmise whether or not this is a common issue or simply a defective product. I realize ipad air was just released, but I was told that it should work seamlessly with anything above an ipad 3.

You connect with it through each app, not the Bluetooth settings. Did you try that? And it has to be an app that supports the stylus.

Yes I also have the wacom intuois
stylus and it does not get recognized in bluetooth settings, you must set it up in each app like mesue has said. I use it in "Sketch Book Pro", "Art Studio" and "Bamboo Paper" and it is working just fine on ipad air.
