My name is Joe.
I am not very good with with computers, however I have become very adept with the iPad.
I really want to do more with my pictures such as making calendars, books, etc.
Can anyone help me?

Good to hear from you. You’ll find a whole bunch of iPad enthusiasts in this Forum who are only too willing to help other iPad owners and to hear of their experiences. Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!

Hope to hear from you soon with your thoughts about the iPad.

Have fun and enjoy your iPad

It is certainly possible - and relatively easy - to publish your photos in eBook format for distribution either commercially - say, via iBooks or Kindle - or privately. There are several software packages available that can translate your documents into the appropriate format for distribution via these media - as well as several organisations that will do this for you (for a fee, of course). The ease with which private individuals can now publish their own material has led to an explosion of interest in this format - hence the enormous volume of periodicals and books/calendars that are available from iBooks, Kindle and Google. So this is definitely a low-risk way of individuals getting 'into' publishing. If you need any help finding the appropriate software tools for this, don't hesitate to post back again.

If you don’t already have it you can download a copy of the iPad manual for free.

Hi, I am new to this Forum. I bought the Ipad 2 64g Virizon. I was able to sync my Gmail contacts, mail and calendar. I f I add a new contact in the Ipad it will not be added to by Blackberry phone or in my office PC.

I tried using itunes and still is the same. Does Ipad contacts syncs only when connected to itune or everytime I am connected to WiFi or since I have Verizon is always in sync?

You can use the Apple MobileMe Push email to sync between your PC and iPad if you want to, thus avoiding the need to connect to your PC & iTunes. If you go to the Apple site you can sign up for a free trial, so you could see if it works for you. MobileMe also includes access to Apple's iDisk cloud storage - so that you can transfer files between your PC and iPad again without the use of iTunes. It also includes the Apple 'Find my iPad' service.

Hope to hear from you soon with your thoughts about the iPad.

Have fun and enjoy your iPad

If you set up your google account (mail, contacts, calendar) with Exchange it should just sync on its own. Push settings might need to be on. You'll find those in the mail settings on your iPad. Also, if you only got the wifi version of the iPad, yes then you will need to be connected to a wifi network in order for sync to occur.
