Hello All,

I presently have an Ipad 2 and my wife loves it! Well, it's time for her to have her own Ipad, but I'm undecided whether to purchase the Ipad 4 or wait for the 5. Anyone know if there's going to be a dramatic change with the 5? I'm leaning toward the Ipad 4 but I don't want to look back in six months to learn that the 4 has been outdated. Thanks much for any input.

Frank

It certainly won't be outdate. The iPad 2 is still a current model, and hardware-wise, there isn't a whole lot of difference between it and the mini. The iPad 4 has a lot of life in it yet.

There could be huge changes when the next iPad appears, but I really can't see it. The next version of iOS should be fully implemented on the 4, and I can't see any changes by Apple in the hardware. For example, no SD or USB ports. THey will not waste the internal space that these would take up (nor would they compromise the sales of the higher end models by allowing you to add your own storage.

At present, we are making assumptions that there will be a 5, but no-one really knows.
