Nine months after the iPad Air and iPad Mini has been released, UK mobile operator O2 has announced that it's bringing Apple's latest tablets to its customers from 24 Jul. Previously, the British mobile operator has offered only SIM-only deals for Apple's tablet.

Nina Bibby, marketing director at O2, said the following:

"iPad continues to revolutionise the tablet market, giving people the ability to do even more on the go, and we're proud to be able to offer it to our customers."

O2 will offer both the iPad Air and iPad Mini with Retina display from 24 July on its 4G network. However, at the moment, full pricing details are yet to be announced. According to O2, the iPad Air and the iPad Mini with Retina Display will be available on its Refresh tariffs, which offers monthly data plans from 500MB to 8GB.

If O2 will apply its current tariffs to Apple's tablets, then those picking up an iPad Air with 5GB of data can expect to pay £33 a month with a £29.99 upfront cost, and those buying an iPad Mini with Retina display will pay £31 a month and £19.99 upfront.

O2 Refresh consumer tariffs offer from 500MB to 8GB of data. Customers choosing 5GB of data, for instance, can get iPad Air 16GB for £33 per month with £29.99 upfront, while an iPad mini with Retina display 16GB will be £31 per month with £19.99 upfront.

Bibby added the following:

"We're passionate about giving customers the best choice of mobile devices and, with O2 Refresh, the best way to buy them - no waiting to get a new device and lower bills when you stay with your current one. Our app TU Go also lets you make calls and send texts via iPad, so customers can get even more from their amazing technology."

If you are reading this from the UK and happen to be a O2 customers, let us know what you think about this by leaving your input below.
