I bought an Ipad three weeks ago, and am having a frustrating time with Pages. I am hitting two problems:
1) It seems to automatically "correct" things as I type them. Sometimes these corrections are right, but it is infuriating when I either type something that is right and it changes it, or mis-type and it guesses incorrectly -- in proofreading it is rather easier to spot a mis-spelt word than a word that is correct, but in the wrong place.
2) There don't appear to be buttons to move the cursor left and right, and clicking on a word causes the cursor to appear at the beginning or end, so I often end up having to click at the end of a word and backspace to alter a letter in the middle, rather than click on the letter and alter it.
Are there ways round these, or an alternative which doesn't have these shortcomings? Something that (say) underlined potentially mis-typed words rather than altering them, and let me click on problem letters, would be great.
