Can anyone help me please, how can I correct a mis-spelt word when I type an email on my iPad and don't realise until the end of the word that I have made a mistake in that word. In MS Word I would normally use the back arrow but the iPad keyboard doesn't seem to have this facility, or does it?

Touch the word and hold, a magnifying bubble will come up with a cursor, use this to place the cursor at the right point in the word then use the delete key (top right of keyboard, White x on a black arrow)......hope that helps.

Do you have autocorrect switched on, too, in 'Settings'? That will correct most misspelt words. You can, by a workaround, add your own 'specialist' words too.

I do, too. If you need to enter your 'own' words into the autocorrect dictionary a Member found a 'workaround'. He noticed that entries in the Contacts database are never 'autocorrected'. So he suggested, and it works fine, put 'special' words - technical or business terms etc - into the Contacts database as 'spurious' contacts. It works just fine!!
