Trouble searching Gmail

I am trying to search my Gmail account from the iPad original email application.

When I type the searh item into the earchbox and hit Enter, it shows the relevant downloaded/synced items and a link to "Continue to Search on Server". When i hit the "Contunue.." link I get notice "Cannot Get Mail. The connection to the server failed". In the meantime the search works fine from the G-Whizz! application...

Have you got your Gmail account set up on the iPad as an IMAP account? You can only search IMAP and not POP accounts. If you need help migrating from a POP to IMAP account, just back in touch with us.
